Vibration Isolator Assemblies

Progressive Stamping has evolved over time from strictly a washer and shim manufacturer. Progressive now offers a wide range of fastener related products to meet your needs.

Vibration Isolator Bushings are one such product. They have become an integral portion of our business. Progressive currently supplies these products to several of the largest O.E.M.’s in the world and many of the tiers. These parts are commonly found in chassis and suspension systems. Applications extend to heavy trucks, heavy equipment, construction and recreational vehicles.

Our assemblies are typically produced using stamping manufactured in-house combined with purchased components such as nuts and rubber bushings obtained from domestic and international sources. These assemblies use various processes and come in a wide range of sizes and shapes depending on the application and your needs.

Components

• Stamped components are typically manufactured from ferrous materials primarily using high carbon and low carbon steel. We process gages ranging from .5mm (.020 in.) to 8mm (.314 in.) utilizing Compound Dies, Progressive Dies, and Modified Form Stamping Dies.
  
• The nuts used in these assemblies currently range from M5 through M24.
  
• Rubber bushings in various durometers
  

Commonly, these parts consist of a free-spinning nut and washer assembly that is plated. After this has been completed, a rubber bushing is attached to the nut and washer assembly through the use of adhesives or shrink-wrap.
